What is point spacing?

The distance between two pixels reflects the pixel density, which is the physical attribute of the display screen; the information capacity is the unit of information carrying capacity displayed at one time of pixel density per unit area. The smaller the distance between points, the higher the pixel density, the more information capacity per unit area can be displayed at one time, and the closer the suitable viewing distance is. The larger the distance between points, the lower the pixel density, the less information capacity per unit area, and the farther the distance suitable for viewing.

How to select dot spacing of P3 LED full color display screen?

The selection of dot spacing of LED full-color display screen is related to two factors: [LED display screen]

First, the sight distance of LED full-color display screen

The position of the display screen and the distance people usually stand at is only an important factor to determine the distance between points when selecting led full-color display screen.

Generally, there is a formula for the best visual distance = point spacing / (0.3 ~ 0.8), which is a rough range.

For example, for a display screen with a dot spacing of 16mm, the best visual distance is 20-54m. If the distance between the stations is closer than the minimum distance, the pixels on the display screen can be distinguished. If you stand far away, the human eye will not be able to distinguish the detailed features. (we aim at normal vision, excluding myopia and hyperopia). In fact, this is also a rough figure.

For outdoor LED full-color displays, P10 or p12 are generally used for the short distance, and p16 or P20 are used for the farther ones. For indoor display screens, P4 ~ P6 are generally available, and p7.62 or P10 are used for remote led full-color displays.

Second, the total number of pixels in LED full-color display.

For video, the basic format is VCD, resolution 352 * 288, DVD format 768 * 576. Therefore, for the video screen, we suggest that the minimum resolution should not be less than 352 * 288, so that the display effect is good enough. If it is lower, it can be displayed, but not better.

However, for the single and double primary color LED full-color display screen which mainly displays text and pictures, the resolution requirement is not high. According to the actual size, the minimum display of 9 font size can be determined according to your text amount.

Therefore, the smaller the dot spacing, the higher the resolution and the clearer the display. However, we should also consider the cost and demand, application scope and other factors.
